Guamán Balaunde who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Xabel Sirguero when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Stalin Cañarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Borja Enciso having to interfere. After 20 played minutes CD Purcay got a freekick which was hit by Ferrer Sotelo. In the 21st minute Rey Cantoral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xabel Sirguero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Ismael Camba took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Xabel Sirguero to make any attempt to save it. Rey Cantoral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xabel Sirguero having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Alpargata CF's Rey Cantoral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Xabel Sirguero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Guamán Balaundes short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Xabel Sirguero to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 34 minutes into the match, Rene Piñan notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Alpargata CF's Borja Enciso. Borja Enciso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Guamán Balaunde came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Alpargata CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guamán Balaunde couldn't finish the play. Rey Cantoral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 40 minutes, Guamán Balaunde managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alpargata CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guamán Balaunde was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 45 minutes into the game, Rey Cantoral recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Xabel Sirguero. Rey Cantoral showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rey Cantoral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Xabel Sirguero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rey Cantoral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rey Cantoral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Rene Piñan put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Borja Enciso. The supporters of Alpargata CF booed when CD Purcay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismael Frecha didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guamán Balaunde in the 61st minute of play forced CD Purcay's goalkeeper Xabel Sirguero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Guamán Balaunde managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alpargata CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Guamán Balaunde was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xabel Sirguero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Alpargata CF getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Rey Cantoral hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute Rey Cantoral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xabel Sirguero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Rey Cantoral left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alpargata CF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. If Stalin Cañarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute.
