Weather Asegninolaza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manolo Larreta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute Eduardo Paramo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Ruberte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Estany received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Weather Asegninolaza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind UD Chacauco's goalkeeper Ruben Ruberte, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alexander Loma charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexander Loma the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. UD Cevallos's Weather Asegninolaza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Estany in the 35th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in UD Cevallos's zone, Manolo Larreta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Weather Asegninolaza came out of the goal and Manolo Larreta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 40 minutes, Manolo Larreta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UD Chacauco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manolo Larreta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manolo Larreta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. UD Cevallos's Eduardo Paramo got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manolo Larreta in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Weather Asegninolaza saved UD Cevallos from getting behind. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eduardo Paramo was the one to do the kick off. 57 minutes into the game, one of UD Chacauco:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 59th minute there was a penalty for UD Cevallos. Roberto Ocampo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ruben Ruberte. 1-0. After having played for 64 minutes, Garcés Canelas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UD Chacauco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Garcés Canelas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manolo Larreta succeeded in the game's 67th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. 72 minutes into the match, Efrain Arnaiz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ruben Ruberte. UD Chacauco's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Efrain Arnaiz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. If Eduardo Paramo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. UD Chacauco's Ruben Ruberte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Paramo in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th minute, UD Chacauco's Marco Estany dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Weather Asegninolaza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Estany, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to UD Cevallos getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Wellington Guemez hit a great ball. UD Chacauco were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
