CD Pijigual's Alexandro Morlote played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ximen Ruano in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Villota Santiago notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of CD Pijigual's Alexandro Morlote. Alexandro Morlote was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ramón Barreneche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ximen Ruano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandro Morlote having to interfere. After having played for 30 minutes, Villota Santiago managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Verdilla FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Villota Santiago was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Urtats Arizabalo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexandro Morlote read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Ximen Ruano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alexandro Morlote, 2-0.

CD Pijigual's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ximen Ruano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in CD Pijigual's zone, Villota Santiago stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandro Morlote came out of the goal and Villota Santiago tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexandro Morlote took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ximen Ruano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When CD Pijigual's Ramón Barreneche in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Verdilla FC's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ramón Barreneche in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armando Lordaliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ramón Barreneche struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Armando Lordaliego didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Pijigual. There was no doubt that Verdilla FC were the better team. Verdilla FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
