James Doral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Alfonso Urquicia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rolando Aumente in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stacio Orue prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Otavalo S.C.'s zone, Rolando Aumente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stacio Orue came out of the goal and Rolando Aumente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xever Buergo struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Stacio Orue didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tugaduaya SC.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José-Manuel Pando made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Trivniño Zarate ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stacio Orue was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. If Rolando Aumente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stacio Orue showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Aumente in the 63rd minute of the match. The supporters of Otavalo S.C. booed when Tugaduaya SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Meca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Otavalo S.C.'s Joaquin Darraña couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 71st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Tugaduaya SC. After a defensive mix-up in Otavalo S.C.'s zone, Rolando Aumente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stacio Orue came out of the goal and Rolando Aumente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rolando Aumente scored 3-0 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stacio Orue, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. James Doral's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 81stth minute, Alfonso Urquicia skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 90th minute Trivniño Zarate shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stacio Orue saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 93 minutes, Trivniño Zarate managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tugaduaya SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Trivniño Zarate was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tugaduaya SC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Otavalo S.C. for a fine match.
