After a defensive mix-up in Blue Lyons FC's zone, Jorge Quintianan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mario Castropan came out of the goal and Jorge Quintianan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 8 played minutes Blue Lyons FC got a freekick which was hit by Urtun Raireta. Jorge Quintianan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Castropan having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Xinto Macon kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mario Castropan. That made the score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. In the 20th minute, Vermudo Olando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Salvador Villagra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pio Iriarte having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Victoro Can hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manuel Barajo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 30th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Blue Lyons FC's goal looked a bit too open when Xinto Macon came free, but Mario Castropan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Manila SC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Salomon Palazuelo hit a great ball. Enrique Goiri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Pio Iriarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blue Lyons FC were awarded a corner in the 46th minute after Manila SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Urtun Castelo took the corner.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Enrique Goiri to make the kick off. Vermudo Olando's late challenge caught a Manila SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vermudo Olando helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Manila SC booed when Blue Lyons FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vermudo Olando didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xinto Macon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Castropan having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xinto Macon in the 65th minute of play forced Blue Lyons FC's goalkeeper Mario Castropan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Blue Lyons FC's goal looked a bit too open when Xinto Macon came free, but Mario Castropan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Quintianan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Castropan having to interfere. Mario Castropan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xinto Macon in the 70th minute of play. Javier Esterina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pio Iriarte having to make a save. After 74 minutes, Urtun Raireta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Blue Lyons FC and the Manila SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 74 played minutes Blue Lyons FC got a freekick which was hit by Urtun Raireta. Mario Castropan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xinto Macon in the 76th minute of the match. In the 80th minute of the match Urtun Castelo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pio Iriarte skillfully saved the ball. Jorge Quintianan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Mario Castropan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Blue Lyons FC's goalkeeper Mario Castropan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 90th minute Enrique Goiri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pio Iriarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute Jorge Quintianan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mario Castropan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manila SC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Blue Lyons FC for a fine match.
