Parrales Riofrio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Valerio Manglano's late challenge caught a Ceibos F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valerio Manglano helped the player get up and apologised. Valerio Manglano kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Walter Titos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 26 minutes, Zernin Argandoña made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Dep. Kito's Parrales Riofrio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Dep. Kito's zone, Zernin Argandoña stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Parrales Riofrio came out of the goal and Zernin Argandoña tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ceibos F.C.'s Xoan Valdespino got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zernin Argandoña to make the kick off. Zernin Argandoña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Parrales Riofrio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Parrales Riofrio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Walter Titos's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. After having played for 67 minutes, Walter Titos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ceibos F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Walter Titos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 74th minute, Walter Titos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Ceibos F.C.'s Xoan Valdespino got a free kick in the 79th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zernin Argandoña in the 81st minute of play forced Dep. Kito's goalkeeper Parrales Riofrio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valerio Manglano scored 2-1 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ortiz Fardi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Zernin Argandoña managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ceibos F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Zernin Argandoña was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Parrales Riofrio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 87 minutes, Walter Titos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ceibos F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Walter Titos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ceibos F.C.'s Xoan Valdespino pulled a muscle in his back after 89 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arnoldo Marin during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 91st minute of the match Zornin Beyso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Parrales Riofrio skillfully saved the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ceibos F.C. fully deserved thier win.
