An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Irabien in the 12th minute of play forced Petzeinda SC's goalkeeper Adolfo Cortina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. García Torralba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Adolfo Cortina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diego Vuelva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 24 minutes, Camilo Riero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Petzeinda SC and the Plinio Sporting Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Plinio Sporting Club booed when Petzeinda SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Riero didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Orlando Herencia during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Orlando Herencia hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After 32 played minutes, Plinio Sporting Club's Alfonso Zayas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Adolfo Cortina came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Plinio Sporting Club reached it. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Petzeinda SC's goalkeeper Adolfo Cortina, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Plinio Sporting Club's zone, Santiago Beysama stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Baltanas came out of the goal and Santiago Beysama tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zosimo Chagavia hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Santiago Beysama to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Plinio Sporting Club got a freekick which was hit by Fernandez Caller. Hernan Pereta's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 53rdth minute, José Baltanas skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Zosimo Chagavia fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Plinio Sporting Club's protests and gave Zosimo Chagavia a yellow card for diving instead. Zosimo Chagavia hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. José Baltanas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Artealde in the 57th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Plinio Sporting Club's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Beysama came free, but José Baltanas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Baltanas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santiago Beysama, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Plinio Sporting Club's José Baltanas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Beysama in the 67th minute of play. 70 minutes into the game, Santiago Beysama recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of José Baltanas. Santiago Beysama showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. In the 75th minute, Hernan Pereta made a precise shot to the right of José Baltanas. Plinio Sporting Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. During the 82nd minute of the match Zosimo Chagavia completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Zosimo Chagavia a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Zosimo Chagavia kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Orlando Herencia was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 84th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. José Baltanas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camilo Riero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Petzeinda SC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
