After 8 minutes, Xzavier Mazuelo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pilongo FC and the america juniors players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 8 played minutes Pilongo FC got a freekick which was hit by Xzavier Mazuelo. After having played for 12 minutes, Rey Bringas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. america juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rey Bringas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valdo Ochoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Vallearena, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After a rather tough play, Pilongo FC's Urbez Bizoso got a free kick in the 25th minute. america juniors's Rey Bringas got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Pilongo FC booed when america juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guagua Marful didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 32 minutes, Norberto Albalate managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pilongo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Norberto Albalate was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Vallearena in the 34th minute of play forced america juniors's goalkeeper Valdo Ochoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rey Bringas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferrer Calon having to interfere. Alberto Argudin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of america juniors booed when Pilongo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Albalate didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Victor Vallearena made a kick off. Valdo Ochoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Vallearena, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute of the match Pilongo FC got a corner. america juniors's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Norberto Albalate ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Perlaza Paez got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Valdo Ochoa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 68th minute Xandro Ibarguen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdo Ochoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valdo Ochoa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Vallearena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in america juniors's zone, Victor Vallearena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdo Ochoa came out of the goal and Victor Vallearena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the america juniors defense, Xandro Ibarguen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valdo Ochoa. The america juniors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valdo Ochoa should have stopped the shot. Pilongo FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of america juniors for a fine match.
