The referee ignored Cullitagua's protests and gave Fabian Oñate a yellow card for diving instead. 26 minutes into the game, one of Cullitagua:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Xurde Yunibarbia placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After 31 played minutes Canitas got a freekick which was hit by Umea Gorvea. With his leg Corozo Pañalosa managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Canitas's Segundo Teixido fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Segundo Teixido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Segundo Teixido got free with Corozo Pañalosa in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpected shot in the 41st minute by Segundo Teixido got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
