AFC 1989's Garcia Montaña played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roque Queto in the 6th minute of play. Inocencio Romillo took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Garcia Montaña. Garcia Montaña dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Pablo-Enrique Vanegas didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when AFC 1989's Mellington Jetino shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Inocencio Romillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Inocencio Romillo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Garcia Montaña having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Palanca SC's Mane Caborredondo got a free kick in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Antolin in the 27th minute of play forced Palanca SC's goalkeeper Pablo-Enrique Vanegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 31 minutes, Inocencio Romillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palanca SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inocencio Romillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roque Queto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. AFC 1989 were furious when John Jorge was red carded, 36 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 35th minute, one of AFC 1989:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for AFC 1989. In the 39th minute there was a penalty for Palanca SC. Xencio Escajadillo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Garcia Montaña. 2-2. Roque Queto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

If Inocencio Romillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roque Queto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garcia Montaña having to interfere. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Roque Queto sped through AFC 1989's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Garcia Montaña. Inocencio Romillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Garcia Montaña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inocencio Romillo in the 81st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inocencio Romillo in the 86th minute of play forced AFC 1989's goalkeeper Garcia Montaña to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerardo Armental recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Quiñónez Rioboo's late challenge caught a Palanca SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Quiñónez Rioboo helped the player get up and apologised. Quiñónez Rioboo hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Palanca SC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
