The audience thought a goal was coming when Roque Queto got free with Peter Monesterio in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joyagshi FC's Peter Monesterio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Joyagshi FC from getting a goal against them. Palanca SC's Pablo-Enrique Vanegas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Barreda in the 12th minute of play. After having played for 17 minutes, Gonzalo Barreda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Joyagshi FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gonzalo Barreda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Peter Monesterio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inocencio Romillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the game, Inocencio Romillo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Peter Monesterio. Inocencio Romillo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Ramiro Villagran lost his temper 26 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. When the match had been going on for 28 minutes, Palanca SC's Xencio Escajadillo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Peter Monesterio. Peter Monesterio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inocencio Romillo in the 36th minute of the match. Roque Torriba hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Joyagshi FC's Peter Monesterio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inocencio Romillo in the 46th minute of play. When Palanca SC's Inocencio Romillo in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Joyagshi FC's goalie prevented a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Iván Sancha to strike the kick off in the second half. Igor Frecha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69thth minute of the game Inocencio Romillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Joyagshi FC's Peter Monesterio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 70th minute, Iván Sancha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Inocencio Romillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peter Monesterio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roque Queto in the 76th minute of play. Rafael Sarratea charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rafael Sarratea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Joyagshi FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Rafael Sarratea hit a great ball. Peter Monesterio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inocencio Romillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Joyagshi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Inocencio Romillo came free, but Peter Monesterio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peter Monesterio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Héctor Barcia's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. Joyagshi FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
