When Tenorio Baldaliso came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Rocafuerte F. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tenorio Baldaliso couldn't finish the play. Zaquiel Pascalin came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Rocafuerte F. C.'s Tenorio Baldaliso. But to his dismay, Tenorio Baldaliso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Cintron in the 34th minute of play forced Cochahuaico FC's goalkeeper Zaquiel Pascalin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ismael Bengoa was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 35th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ortíz Garijo's late challenge caught a Rocafuerte F. C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ortíz Garijo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th minute Antonio Cintron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zaquiel Pascalin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Fernando Guiluz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. German Villarreal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Angel Meruelo made a huge save. The supporters of Rocafuerte F. C. booed when Cochahuaico FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Florian didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antonio Cintron was the one to do the kick off. Angel Meruelo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of German Villarreal's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Fernando Guiluz notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Rocafuerte F. C.'s Angel Meruelo. Angel Meruelo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Angel Meruelo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from German Villarreal, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Alex Echeto hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Xacobo Obaya's late challenge caught a Cochahuaico FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The crowd rose to their feet as Ismael Bengoa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zaquiel Pascalin. That made the score 3-2 in the 78 minute of play. Tenorio Baldaliso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zaquiel Pascalin having to interfere. 86 minutes into the game, Tenorio Baldaliso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Zaquiel Pascalin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Tenorio Baldaliso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rocafuerte F. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Tenorio Baldaliso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zaquiel Pascalin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
