Héctor Carbezo might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mariano Matamoro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. A collision led to LIGA DE QUITO getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Machado Villaciergo hit a great ball. Ambrossi Perero charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When Luciano Cos came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the UD Bastidas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luciano Cos couldn't finish the play. The supporters of UD Bastidas booed when LIGA DE QUITO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Machado Villaciergo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Héctor Carbezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
