UD Egas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roman Heneriz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 15 minutes into the match, UD Egas's goal looked a bit too open when Tyrone Zamarro came free, but Carnero Otero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Tyrone Zamarro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Carnero Otero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Tyrone Zamarro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in UD Egas's zone, Xurde Sousa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carnero Otero came out of the goal and Xurde Sousa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, UD Egas's Xan Guerrero got a free kick in the 34th minute. Uhin Arriete sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roman Heneriz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mariano Matamoro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uhin Arriete, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After a defensive mix-up in LIGA DE QUITO's zone, Roman Heneriz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mariano Matamoro came out of the goal and Roman Heneriz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Uhin Arriete to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind UD Egas's goalkeeper Carnero Otero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Uhin Arriete had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mariano Matamoro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uhin Arriete in the 63rd minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Roman Heneriz notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of LIGA DE QUITO's Mariano Matamoro. Mariano Matamoro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 72 played minutes LIGA DE QUITO got a freekick which was hit by Joffre Villaquilambre. Mariano Matamoro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uhin Arriete, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. The supporters of UD Egas booed when LIGA DE QUITO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Sabon didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute, Urbes Bultes sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and LIGA DE QUITO's Mariano Matamoro didn't even have to move. Mariano Matamoro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uhin Arriete in the 83rd minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, LIGA DE QUITO's goal looked a bit too open when Uhin Arriete came free, but Mariano Matamoro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
