The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Vistruario Revillas came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Matungos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vistruario Revillas couldn't finish the play. In the 6th minute Lisandro Alcolea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iván Daroca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pablo Pascalin kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. José-Francisco Vanegas didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 18th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Vistruario Revillas in the 51st minute of play forced Naranja Mecanica FC's goalkeeper José-Francisco Vanegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
