Cordero Aldasoro might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Iván Daroca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cordero Aldasoro ran back to his position shaking his head. Pablo Pascalin hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 21st minute by Jaime Salvado got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Centenales in the 25th minute of play forced UD Juripilaca's goalkeeper Calisto Casaña to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iván Daroca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cordero Aldasoro in the 41st minute of play. After having played for 42 minutes, Jaime Salvado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UD Juripilaca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Salvado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cordero Aldasoro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 46 in the game by Jaime Salvado from a close distance when the talented Iván Daroca managed to make a qualified save. Matungos's players were relieved. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cordero Aldasoro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Salvado in the 57th minute of play forced Matungos's goalkeeper Iván Daroca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Cordero Aldasoro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iván Daroca was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. When Cordero Aldasoro came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the UD Juripilaca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cordero Aldasoro couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Alberto Isasi managed to get in a good position for a shot. UD Juripilaca's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Isasi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iván Daroca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 85th match minute, Matungos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Montalvo Villalon to maneuver through the defense. 86 minutes into the match, UD Juripilaca's Cordero Aldasoro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iván Daroca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Jaime Salvado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
