After a defensive mix-up in Asavo's zone, Alex Ocio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mario Vispieres came out of the goal and Alex Ocio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateo Cembrana in the 26th minute of play forced Waruints FC's goalkeeper Carcelén Angulo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pablo Martinez was shown his second yellow card after 37 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Pablo Martinez kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. If Alex Ocio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfonso Mensa hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After the first half Asavo were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Rios Zalaca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carcelén Angulo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Carcelén Angulo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Vieitez, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. Asavo played a much better game than Waruints FC and deserved their victory. The Waruints FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
