Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rosario Burgo started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Paute getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Cornelio Guardamiño hit a great ball. Edgar Giribet came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Waruints FC's Alex Ocio. But to his dismay, Alex Ocio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 22 played minutes Waruints FC got a freekick which was hit by Zayvion Azaceta. When Domingo Urrea, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 27 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Carcelén Angulo was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If Rosario Burgo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Paute getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Cornelio Guardamiño hit a great ball. Edgar Giribet came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Waruints FC's Rosario Burgo. But to his dismay, Rosario Burgo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 44 minutes into the match, Paute's goal looked a bit too open when Rosario Burgo came free, but Edgar Giribet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Domingo Urrea made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Domingo Urrea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carcelén Angulo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Paute booed when Waruints FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oswaldo Prados didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paute's Edgar Giribet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rosario Burgo in the 65th minute of play. After 69 played minutes Waruints FC got a freekick which was hit by Oswaldo Prados. Carcelén Angulo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingo Urrea in the 71st minute of the match. Ramiro Ojero charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramiro Ojero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 78th minute, Paute's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Alex Ocio fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Ramiro Ojero was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 78 minutes had been played. In the 80th minute, Zayvion Azaceta sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Paute's Edgar Giribet didn't even have to move. Edgar Giribet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rosario Burgo, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zayvion Azaceta during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Waruints FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Zayvion Azaceta hit a great ball. Paute's Edgar Giribet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rosario Burgo in the 90th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Waruints FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
