With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sotomayor Botello prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Elias Abeitia fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atletico Defensor's protests and gave Elias Abeitia a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Atletico Defensor getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Elias Abeitia hit a great ball. After 16 minutes of play, Peludo's Texeira Anillo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sotomayor Botello was left in no man's land by his defense there! Atletico Defensor's Sotomayor Botello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Batista Ojea in the 25th minute of play. In the 31st minute of the match, Bernardo Lapenya tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Leandro Villaurreta saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Sotomayor Botello didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Texeira Anillo went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. If Batista Ojea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Atletico Defensor's zone, Texeira Anillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sotomayor Botello came out of the goal and Texeira Anillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bernardo Lapenya was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Bernardo Lapenya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Villaurreta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Atletico Defensor getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Xurxo Campero hit a great ball. 56 minutes into the match, Texeira Anillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sotomayor Botello. Atletico Defensor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Texeira Anillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. In the 70th minute, one of Peludo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Peludo. The referee gave Atletico Defensor a penalty, 72 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Espinoza Godoy, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Peludo's Leandro Villaurreta. 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Lapenya in the 76th minute of play forced Peludo's goalkeeper Leandro Villaurreta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute Batista Ojea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sotomayor Botello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardo Lapenya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Leandro Villaurreta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Atletico Defensor's goalkeeper Sotomayor Botello had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Texeira Anillo. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
