Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Pedro Isasaga took the kick off in the first half of the match. Macias Ursua's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 3rdth minute, Pablo Magaña skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 5th minute Pedro Isasaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pablo Magaña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 7 minutes of play, CD Tupigachi's Macias Ursua made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pablo Magaña was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pedro Isasaga might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pablo Magaña. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedro Isasaga ran back to his position shaking his head. When CD Tupigachi's Jonathan Anillo in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Pablo Magaña showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Isasaga in the 21st minute of the match. After having played for 24 minutes, Peter Ontoria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Otavalo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peter Ontoria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marco Faubelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Peter Ontoria in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jairón Portochao saved CD Tupigachi from getting behind. 28 minutes into the match, CD Tupigachi's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Faubelo came free, but Jairón Portochao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Faubelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairón Portochao having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Denis Cortazar during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Denis Cortazar hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the match, CD Tupigachi's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Ontoria came free, but Jairón Portochao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jairón Portochao showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Faubelo in the 42nd minute of the match. Otavalo FC's Peter Ontoria got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Otavalo FC's Pablo Magaña played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Macias Ursua in the 55th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Peter Ontoria kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jairón Portochao. That made the score 1-1 in the 62 minute of play. The audience was convinced that Peter Ontoria's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jairón Portochao was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Pedro Isasaga struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Pablo Magaña didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Tupigachi. After 72 played minutes Otavalo FC got a freekick which was hit by Xacobo Alamo. Pedro Isasaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
