When Coca Cola FC's Moises Plata in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 12 minutes, Gerardo Parga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coca Cola FC and the Alacranes SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Coca Cola FC's Gerardo Parga got a free kick in the 12th minute. Xzavion Majua recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. William Campas short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Quiñónez Ciriaca to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. William Campa in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Quiñónez Ciriaca, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xzavion Majua stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th match minute, Alacranes SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rosero Ceniceros to maneuver through the defense. Jose Reguilon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moises Plata, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. If Moises Plata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. William Campa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quiñónez Ciriaca having to interfere. Gonzales Peñafiel's late challenge caught a Alacranes SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gonzales Peñafiel helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Alacranes SC booed when Coca Cola FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonzales Peñafiel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jose Reguilon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzales Peñafiel in the 78th minute of play. In the 79th match minute, Alacranes SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rosero Ceniceros to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute of the match, Moises Plata tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jose Reguilon saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moises Plata in the 90th minute of play forced Alacranes SC's goalkeeper Jose Reguilon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quiñónez Ciriaca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from William Campa in the 96th minute of the match.
