Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Hugo Mendaza started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Edwin Selgas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henry Goicoechea in the 3rd minute. Edson Cereceda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Mendaza in the 6th minute of play. Antonio Valencia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edson Cereceda came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by patron bolivar's Hugo Mendaza. But to his dismay, Hugo Mendaza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Inter de Guayaquil FC's Edson Cereceda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Mendaza in the 22nd minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Espinosa Adrian had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edson Cereceda. Inter de Guayaquil FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Espinosa Adrian was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Edson Cereceda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Mendaza in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes into the game, patron bolivar's Espinosa Adrian nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edson Cereceda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. If Antonio Valencia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Inter de Guayaquil FC's Edson Cereceda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Espinosa Adrian in the 37th minute of play. After having played for 47 minutes, Henry Goicoechea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inter de Guayaquil FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henry Goicoechea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half patron bolivar were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antonio Valencia to strike the kick off in the second half. Henry Goicoechea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Edwin Selgas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gabriel Cordon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Edson Cereceda made a huge save. Inter de Guayaquil FC's Henry Goicoechea got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Espinosa Adrian fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored patron bolivar's protests and gave Espinosa Adrian a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th match minute, patron bolivar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Espinosa Adrian to maneuver through the defense. If Henry Goicoechea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henry Goicoechea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edwin Selgas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. patron bolivar's Edwin Selgas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Valencia in the 75th minute of play. Henry Goicoechea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edwin Selgas having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Inter de Guayaquil FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Verheijden came free, but Edson Cereceda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Inter de Guayaquil FC's Edson Cereceda got control of the ball when Espinosa Adrian tried to sneak it across the goal line. Inter de Guayaquil FC's Henry Goicoechea got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antonio Valencia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Edwin Selgas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Inter de Guayaquil FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. patron bolivar were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
