In the 28th minute of the match Zilar Gavarnet sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Simon Grijan skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sánchez Leyte got free with Clemente Tezanos in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 33 minutes, Sánchez Leyte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jidcay FC and the CD Susana players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 33rd minute, Sánchez Leyte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jairo Tramarria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Grijan having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Jidcay FC's zone, Jairo Tramarria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simon Grijan came out of the goal and Jairo Tramarria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Simon Grijan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Tramarria in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Umbruso Fanego stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Urrutia Garavito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Simon Grijan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jairo Tramarria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jairo Tramarria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jidcay FC's Sánchez Leyte got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Umbruso Fanego didn't get a good kick on the ball. 89 minutes into the game, Sánchez Leyte cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Clemente Tezanos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. CD Susana's Carlos Vandoma challenged an opponent after 92 minutes. The hit was so bad that he suffered a foot injury. After 92 minutes, Umbruso Fanego mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jidcay FC and the CD Susana players grew even worse after the yellow card.
