The goalkeeper, Jacinto Abajas, was totally fooled by Guncay FC's Angel Cribell, who 13 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Mane Reboiras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustin Riero in the 24th minute of play. Renán Alday fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Abajas having to interfere. In the 31st minute Renán Alday shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Abajas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oswaldo Indo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Abajas having to interfere. Mane Reboiras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustin Riero in the 46th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roque Ustoa was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Roque Ustoa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Mane Reboiras was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mane Reboiras made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agustin Riero in the 57th minute. After having played for 64 minutes, Renán Alday managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guncay FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Renán Alday was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Marcelo Escude fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CD Namarin's protests and gave Marcelo Escude a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, CD Namarin's Marcelo Escude got a free kick in the 65th minute. Renán Alday struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Jacinto Abajas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guncay FC. After 71 played minutes CD Namarin got a freekick which was hit by José-Luis Natos. Jacinto Abajas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renán Alday in the 73rd minute of play. Marcelo Escude received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Mane Reboiras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mane Reboiras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roque Ustoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. If Renán Alday had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcelo Escude hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Jacinto Abajas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renán Alday in the 92nd minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. CD Namarin had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
