Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gutierrez Carasa started the match with the kick off. Vedillo Liaño made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ambrossi Boldu in the 2nd minute of play. Romeros's Vedillo Liaño played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alarcón Pedroso in the 4th minute of play. Vedillo Liaño showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xinaro Urquicia, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xinaro Urquicia in the 11th minute of play forced Romeros's goalkeeper Vedillo Liaño to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romeros's Vedillo Liaño played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xinaro Urquicia in the 13th minute of play. Cruz Chirinos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gutierrez Carasa got in the 19th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Sergio Peon handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Gutierrez Carasa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergio Peon having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Veto Cobreros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 24 minutes, Alarcón Pedroso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Atuntaqui's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alarcón Pedroso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sergio Peon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cruz Chirinos in the 28th minute. CD Atuntaqui's Mina Baezabal suffered a concussion after 29 minutes and had to leave the field. Gutierrez Carasa's late challenge caught a CD Atuntaqui's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gutierrez Carasa helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Romeros's Gutierrez Carasa got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind CD Atuntaqui's goalkeeper Sergio Peon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to CD Atuntaqui getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Ambrossi Boldu hit a great ball. Sergio Peon made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Cruz Chirinos sent off a good shot on target. In the 36th minute, Cruz Chirinos fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 37th minute, Xefe Govelo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Romeros booed when CD Atuntaqui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xefe Govelo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute, Gutierrez Carasa fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Sergio Peon, passed just outside the right post. Cruz Chirinos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Sergio Peon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Gutierrez Carasa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sergio Peon. That made the score 1-0 in the 43 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Xinaro Urquicia made the kick off in the second half. Gutierrez Carasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sergio Peon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. When Ambrossi Boldu fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CD Atuntaqui's protests and gave Ambrossi Boldu a yellow card for diving instead. Ambrossi Boldu kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Romeros's Gutierrez Carasa got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. CD Atuntaqui's Sergio Peon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gutierrez Carasa in the 58th minute of play. Sergio Peon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gutierrez Carasa's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Sergio Peon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cruz Chirinos, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Romeros's goalkeeper Vedillo Liaño, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Xinaro Urquicia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CD Atuntaqui's Sergio Peon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cruz Chirinos in the 76th minute of play. When Romeros's Gutierrez Carasa in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CD Atuntaqui's goalie prevented a goal. When Gutierrez Carasa came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Romeros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gutierrez Carasa couldn't finish the play. After 86 played minutes CD Atuntaqui got a freekick which was hit by Xefe Govelo. Cruz Chirinos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergio Peon having to interfere. Veto Cobreros kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. A collision led to CD Atuntaqui getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Agustín Yturrondo hit a great ball. Vedillo Liaño made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Xinaro Urquicia sent off a good shot on target. Cruz Chirinos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Romeros were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of CD Atuntaqui for a fine match.
