UD Catacocha's Xesus Garibay got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vellito Cañal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos-Armando Guipuzcoa in the 14th minute of play. Independiente F.C.'s Adrian Bonal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Suárez Zumarraga in the 16th minute of play. If Fleitas Villar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos-Armando Guipuzcoa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vellito Cañal came out and tried to block the shot, but Carlos-Armando Guipuzcoa slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 21st minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Neicer Diguja to make the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Carlos-Armando Guipuzcoa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independiente F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos-Armando Guipuzcoa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Neicer Diguja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. UD Catacocha had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
