Carnero Besosa's late challenge caught a Manchester United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carnero Besosa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th match minute, Coltapamba SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carnero Besosa to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zigor Rois made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Marquez Heso notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Manchester United's Alberto Palmer. Ximeno Montanez's late challenge caught a Coltapamba SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Manchester United's goalkeeper Alberto Palmer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Zayvius Asturiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Palmer having to interfere.
