Diaz Naranjo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 14th match minute, Conferencia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Lisarra to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Conferencia's goalkeeper Diaz Naranjo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Rodolfo Lorza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th match minute, JUVENTUDE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos-Alberto Betancia to maneuver through the defense. The attack was good, but when Rodolfo Lorza in the 19th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. A collision led to Conferencia getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Bone Campusano hit a great ball. If Rodolfo Lorza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, Moisés Laureano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zornin Mendieta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bone Campusano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Moisés Laureano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diaz Naranjo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. A collision led to JUVENTUDE FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Elvis Machado hit a great ball. In the 41st match minute, JUVENTUDE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos-Alberto Betancia to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd minute of the match Gómez Aballe sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zornin Mendieta skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in JUVENTUDE FC's zone, Rodolfo Lorza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zornin Mendieta came out of the goal and Rodolfo Lorza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Rodolfo Lorza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Bone Campusano struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Zornin Mendieta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Conferencia. In the 68th minute Moisés Laureano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diaz Naranjo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 72nd minute by Bone Campusano got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bone Campusano got free with Zornin Mendieta in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 78 played minutes JUVENTUDE FC got a freekick which was hit by Leonides Feliu. Diaz Naranjo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moisés Laureano, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. If Bone Campusano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the match, Rodolfo Lorza dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zornin Mendieta, 1-2. Elvis Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicolas Lisarra got his second yellow card in the match during the 99th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Conferencia's Nicolas Lisarra got a free kick in the 100th minute. After 101 played minutes Juan Tolentin shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Conferencia's Diaz Naranjo to catch but Juan Tolentin was lucky. It became 2-2 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal.
