Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Eduardo Berberana kicked off to start the match. With a little luck, UD Cayo's Texeira Villaro got control of the ball when Edgar Izcaray tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 8 minutes, Sotomayor Tegeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Phoenix FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sotomayor Tegeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, The Phoenix FC's Rodrigo Vila got a free kick in the 13th minute. The audience was convinced that Patricio Artigue's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Casado Perana was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Casado Perana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Berberana, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After 20 played minutes, UD Cayo's Anangonó Lusa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Casado Perana came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in UD Cayo reached it. After 21 played minutes The Phoenix FC got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Vila. 24 minutes into the game, Patricio Artigue cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Casado Perana was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 28th minute, UD Cayo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Sotomayor Tegeiro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. UD Cayo's Texeira Villaro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save UD Cayo from getting a goal against them. Casado Perana didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Patricio Artigue went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Sotomayor Tegeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Texeira Villaro having to interfere. The supporters of The Phoenix FC booed when UD Cayo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vennancio Candelaria didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Jacinto Feliph sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and UD Cayo's Texeira Villaro didn't even have to move. When Joaquin Torrascasana fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Phoenix FC's protests and gave Joaquin Torrascasana a yellow card for diving instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sotomayor Tegeiro to make the kick off. Marquez Cuellar kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Edgar Izcaray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Texeira Villaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to UD Cayo getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Xove Alais hit a great ball. Patricio Artigue sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the match, The Phoenix FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Berberana came free, but Casado Perana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Joaquin Torrascasana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Casado Perana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Berberana, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Eduardo Berberana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Casado Perana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. If Patricio Artigue had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to The Phoenix FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Sotomayor Tegeiro hit a great ball. Eduardo Berberana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
