The audience was convinced that Urtats Reborio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Xavon Almandoz was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. In the 5th play minute Oscar Yzaguirre came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Xavon Almandoz. 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mauricio Huercanos in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cántaro Avellana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 16 played minutes UD Nueva got a freekick which was hit by Xines Amandi. When Hernandez Piñero fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UD Nueva's protests and gave Hernandez Piñero a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Jambeli Fútbol Club booed when UD Nueva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernandez Piñero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jambeli Fútbol Club's Emiliano Acevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Arturo Villaverde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Oscar Yzaguirre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. UD Nueva's Hernandez Piñero got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 36 minutes into the game, one of UD Nueva:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Jambeli Fútbol Club a penalty, 38 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Mario Briseño, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of UD Nueva's Cántaro Avellana. 2-1. 43 minutes into the game, Hernandez Piñero recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Xavon Almandoz. Hernandez Piñero showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. Mauricio Huercanos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cántaro Avellana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arturo Villaverde to make the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Mauricio Huercanos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jambeli Fútbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauricio Huercanos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Edson Jordana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cántaro Avellana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Villaverde, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Mauricio Huercanos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Cántaro Avellana made a huge save. When Jambeli Fútbol Club's Edson Jordana in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Emiliano Acevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cántaro Avellana having to interfere. A hard shot 77 in the game by Mauricio Huercanos from a close distance when the talented Cántaro Avellana managed to make a qualified save. UD Nueva's players were relieved. Mauricio Huercanos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 82 minutes into the match, Jambeli Fútbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Yzaguirre came free, but Xavon Almandoz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, UD Nueva's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Villaverde came free, but Cántaro Avellana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xavon Almandoz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urtats Reborio in the 90th minute of the match. UD Nueva's Cántaro Avellana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save UD Nueva from getting a goal against them. A collision led to UD Nueva getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Cornelio Espin hit a great ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, UD Nueva could leave the field as winners, despite Jambeli Fútbol Club having more of the ball for most of the match.
