Laurel FC's Xulian Sobarzo got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 30th minute Xulian Sobarzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Candelario Farras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xulian Sobarzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Candelario Farras having to interfere. Lavallén Andrada was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 45 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, one of Iguinaro SC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Iguinaro SC.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xulian Sobarzo in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Candelario Farras saved Iguinaro SC from getting behind. In the 80th match minute, Laurel FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauro Vegal to maneuver through the defense. Candelario Farras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xulian Sobarzo in the 84th minute of play. 85 minutes into the game, one of Laurel FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Candelario Farras made an important save on a dangerous shot by Angelo Feijo in the 92nd minute.
