Christobal Amarelle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xuban Ibarlucea having to interfere. The supporters of Gualchan booed when CD Saguapirca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erick Belarrinaga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xuban Ibarlucea was a little too slow when Anibal Somarribas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gualchan's goalkeeper Alfonso Alzola, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 21 minutes into the game, Wilfredo Morelo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CD Saguapirca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gualchan the free kick. A collision led to CD Saguapirca getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Wilfredo Morelo hit a great ball. Wilfredo Morelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Alfonso Alzola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CD Saguapirca's Umbruso Orbaneja couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 28th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Gualchan. Marin Belluga hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute Wilfredo Morelo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Alzola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Gualchan getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Umea Salsoro hit a great ball. Zunbeltz Anillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Alfonso Alzola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilfredo Morelo struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Alfonso Alzola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Saguapirca. Alfonso Alzola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zunbeltz Anillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Zunbeltz Anillo made the kick off in the second half. Anibal Somarribas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Xuban Ibarlucea having to make a save. If Wilfredo Morelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilfredo Morelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Alfonso Alzola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, CD Saguapirca's goal looked a bit too open when Anibal Somarribas came free, but Xuban Ibarlucea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christobal Amarelle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xuban Ibarlucea having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Adolfo Ordoñez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anibal Somarribas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Xuban Ibarlucea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christobal Amarelle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xuban Ibarlucea having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in CD Saguapirca's zone, Christobal Amarelle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xuban Ibarlucea came out of the goal and Christobal Amarelle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 2-0 became the score in the 80th minute when Anibal Somarribas elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Adolfo Ordoñez hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. CD Saguapirca's Xuban Ibarlucea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christobal Amarelle in the 88th minute of play. Zunbeltz Anillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Alfonso Alzola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Gualchan fans cheered their team off the field, for while CD Saguapirca had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
