Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Victor Badas started the match with the kick off. Valentin Tiagonce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Martin Verastegui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martin Verastegui showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Tiagonce, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. 14 minutes into the game, Pablo Matienzo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. America's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Membrillo the free kick. After 14 played minutes America got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Matienzo. After a rather tough play, Membrillo's Valentin Tiagonce got a free kick in the 15th minute. Victor Badas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Juan-Carlos Maza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Blandón Rosete in the 25th minute. In the 30th minute of the match Ur Traveso shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Martin Verastegui showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alejandro Andrino hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Martin Verastegui showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Tiagonce in the 37th minute of the match. After 38 minutes, Nunez Rocha made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. America's Martin Verastegui tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Nunez Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Valentin Tiagonce made the kick off in the second half. Martin Verastegui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Tiagonce in the 53rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Valentin Tiagonce's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martin Verastegui was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Martin Verastegui showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Tiagonce, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Nunez Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Verastegui having to interfere. 67 minutes into the game, Valentin Tiagonce recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Martin Verastegui. Valentin Tiagonce showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Nunez Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valentin Tiagonce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Martin Verastegui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blandón Rosete sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind America's goalkeeper Martin Verastegui, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Membrillo booed when America was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vilson Oporto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Membrillo's Cortez Guillen couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 84th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for America. 86 minutes into the match, America's goalkeeper Martin Verastegui had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nunez Rocha. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Tiagonce in the 89th minute of play forced America's goalkeeper Martin Verastegui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Membrillo's zone, Blandón Rosete stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juan-Carlos Maza came out of the goal and Blandón Rosete tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. America's Martin Verastegui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Tiagonce in the 94th minute of play. Victor Badas might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juan-Carlos Maza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victor Badas ran back to his position shaking his head. When the final whistle sounded Membrillo left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than America.
