In the 6th minute, Witalis Bugajski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yoel Persol stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sebastian Cariton's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Salache's Albertus Hofnagels shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 13th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ximenes Rabago but with some difficulty. A collision led to Salache getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Pablo Docanado hit a great ball. In the 25th match minute, Deportivo Cuenca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saritama Guill to maneuver through the defense. Ximenes Rabago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vilson Mostoles in the 27th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Roris Colado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salache's supporters rose to their feet, but Roris Colado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ximenes Rabago breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Cariton in the 31st minute of play forced Salache's goalkeeper Yoel Persol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pablo Docanado might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ximenes Rabago. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pablo Docanado ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 38th minute of the game. One of Deportivo Cuenca:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Salache:s goal. Vitin Bobe hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Yoel Persol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonatan Veladiez in the 53rd minute of the match. 60 minutes into the game, Roris Colado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Salache's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Cuenca the free kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Paco Uribe kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Yoel Persol. That made the score 1-1 in the 62 minute of play. The supporters of Salache booed when Deportivo Cuenca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rixon Alberete didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ximenes Rabago didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roris Colado went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After 78 played minutes Salache got a freekick which was hit by Albertus Hofnagels. Jonatan Veladiez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yoel Persol having to interfere. After 83 played minutes, Salache's Martinez Fontarigo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ximenes Rabago came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Salache reached it. Martinez Fontarigo kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Roris Colado scored 3-1 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ximenes Rabago, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Salache fans cheered their team off the field, for while Deportivo Cuenca had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
