José Urbilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Fano having to interfere. In the 19th minute Xalvador Garaizar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yoel Persol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jácome Cardenas in the 22nd minute of play forced Salache's goalkeeper Yoel Persol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the game, José Urbilla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Salache's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cerro SC the free kick. Salache's Yoel Persol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jácome Cardenas in the 63rd minute of play. Roris Colado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Fano having to interfere. José Urbilla who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Ricardo Fano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ricardo Fano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roris Colado in the 68th minute. José Urbilla struck a weak shot in the 69th minute.
