Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Quiróz Vega started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elvis Coro got free with Augusto Frias in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. From close distance Elvis Coro pressed in the 1-0 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 7 minutes into the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quiróz Vega in the 11th minute of play forced Liga de Portoviejo's goalkeeper Augusto Frias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sánchez Chavez struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Venceslao Amoros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liga de Portoviejo. 14 minutes into the game, Humberto Segarra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Liga de Portoviejo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CD Uchucay the free kick. If Quiróz Vega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Urdaspal Antigua managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liga de Portoviejo's supporters rose to their feet, but Urdaspal Antigua was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Venceslao Amoros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Augusto Frias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quiróz Vega, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Moises Alaejos scored 1-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Venceslao Amoros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Elvis Coro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Augusto Frias made a huge save. Augusto Frias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quiróz Vega in the 39th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Liga de Portoviejo's zone, Elvis Coro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Frias came out of the goal and Elvis Coro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Moises Alaejos to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sánchez Chavez got free with Venceslao Amoros in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Venceslao Amoros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Morales Almansa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Quiróz Vega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Frias having to interfere. Quiróz Vega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Augusto Frias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind CD Uchucay's goalkeeper Venceslao Amoros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, CD Uchucay's Jerson Jares got a free kick in the 68th minute. Sánchez Chavez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 73rd minute Elvis Coro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Frias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aires Puncet charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aires Puncet the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aires Puncet kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Quiróz Vega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Liga de Portoviejo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. 88 minutes into the match, Liga de Portoviejo's goal looked a bit too open when Quiróz Vega came free, but Augusto Frias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Elvis Coro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. CD Uchucay's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
