Venerando Artolozaga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Artaza in the 6th minute of the match. Geancarlos Retortillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Venerando Artolozaga having to interfere. In the 12th minute, UD Gualalaico's Burbano Salcedo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Burbano Salcedo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of UD Gualalaico protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Burbano Salcedo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 20th minute, Salomon Pedron made a precise shot to the right of Venerando Artolozaga. UD Paredones's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 24th minute Geancarlos Retortillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Venerando Artolozaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Javier Oyardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandro Valero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ibarra Corral hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute Cortez Modino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Venerando Artolozaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, José Murieta notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of UD Paredones's Venerando Artolozaga. Venerando Artolozaga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Diego Traslago's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Javier Oyardo firmly grabbed it by the left post. After the first half UD Gualalaico were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sandro Valero to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, UD Paredones was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Traslago to maneuver through the defense. In the 54th minute, Salomon Pedron reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Venerando Artolozaga. The goal made the score 1-3. If Cortez Modino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xavon Rolan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Salomon Pedron was extremely unlucky when he, in the 64th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. UD Paredones's Venerando Artolozaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salomon Pedron in the 74th minute of play. Salomon Pedron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Venerando Artolozaga having to interfere. UD Gualalaico made a substitution. Jama Barbadillo replaced Xavon Rolan. Jama Barbadillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Salomon Pedron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Venerando Artolozaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jama Barbadillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cortez Modino got free with Venerando Artolozaga in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Jama Barbadillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The UD Paredones fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. UD Gualalaico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
