Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Richard Artaza kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Hector-Luis Abascal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Richard Artaza in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silvio Cagide saved Lio Messi F.C from getting behind. A collision led to UD Gualalaico getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Xavon Rolan hit a great ball. 9 minutes into the match, UD Gualalaico's goal looked a bit too open when Alejandro Maximino came free, but Javier Oyardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cortez Modino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Javier Oyardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Bon, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Cortez Modino hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. José Murieta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvio Cagide having to interfere. Silvio Cagide took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Artaza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Richard Artaza in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silvio Cagide prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When UD Gualalaico's Richard Artaza, in the 27th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for UD Gualalaico. After a rather tough play, UD Gualalaico's Richard Artaza got a free kick in the 37th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alejandro Maximino to strike the kick off in the second half. When Humberto Bon came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Lio Messi F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Bon couldn't finish the play. In the 56th minute, Hector-Luis Abascal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When UD Gualalaico's Richard Artaza in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lio Messi F.C's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ramon Peredo during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of UD Gualalaico booed when Lio Messi F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramon Peredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Silvio Cagide stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Richard Artaza's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. If Richard Artaza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 65 minutes into the match, UD Gualalaico's goalkeeper Javier Oyardo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Humberto Bon. Humberto Bon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Javier Oyardo having to interfere. After 68 minutes, José Murieta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UD Gualalaico and the Lio Messi F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. José Murieta kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Richard Artaza in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silvio Cagide saved Lio Messi F.C from getting behind. José Murieta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ramon Peredo scored 0-1 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Javier Oyardo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Silvio Cagide showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Artaza in the 77th minute of the match. When Richard Artaza came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the UD Gualalaico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Richard Artaza couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Lio Messi F.C's zone, Xavon Rolan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvio Cagide came out of the goal and Xavon Rolan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xavon Rolan in the 82nd minute of play forced Lio Messi F.C's goalkeeper Silvio Cagide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute Xavon Rolan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvio Cagide saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. UD Gualalaico's Xavon Rolan got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 86 minutes of play Lio Messi F.C's Ramon Peredo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 87th match minute, Lio Messi F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramon Peredo to maneuver through the defense. Silvio Cagide took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Artaza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leon Goicoechea hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute of the match Insua Colomo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silvio Cagide skillfully saved the ball. Silvio Cagide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cortez Modino in the 92nd minute of play. Richard Artaza might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silvio Cagide. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Richard Artaza ran back to his position shaking his head. Lio Messi F.C were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over UD Gualalaico's much stronger midfield.
