The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Videl Añoza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Omar Rioja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Videl Añoza in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Ximun Cocolina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute Videl Añoza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omar Rioja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute Jairo Parserises shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omar Rioja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Blanco Berrez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roman Reigada in the 22nd minute of the match. The supporters of Lajas booed when Fabiola FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. José-Luis Pelon didn't get a good kick on the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Lajas's Joaquin Sevane broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 37th minute, Fabiola FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Teo Hermosilla fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 41 minutes into the match, Videl Añoza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Omar Rioja. Lajas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Videl Añoza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Videl Añoza to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teo Hermosilla in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Blanco Berrez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Roman Reigada scored 2-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Blanco Berrez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Videl Daza charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Videl Daza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 69 minutes into the game, one of Fabiola FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 71st minute there was a penalty for Lajas. Joaquin Sevane stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Blanco Berrez. 3-1. 79 minutes into the match, Fabiola FC's goal looked a bit too open when Roman Reigada came free, but Blanco Berrez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Fabiola FC's zone, Teo Hermosilla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Blanco Berrez came out of the goal and Teo Hermosilla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Blanco Berrez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Reigada in the 88th minute of play. After some careless play in the Fabiola FC defense, Teo Hermosilla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Blanco Berrez. The Fabiola FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Blanco Berrez should have stopped the shot. Roman Reigada recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 99th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Teo Hermosilla took the ball and in the 101 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Blanco Berrez. Blanco Berrez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1.
