Santo Salazar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José-Francisco Salvia in the 20th minute of the match. José-Francisco Salvia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santo Salazar having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José-Francisco Salvia in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santo Salazar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Santo Salazar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José-Francisco Salvia in the 27th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredo Astulez got free with Santo Salazar in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, José-Francisco Salvia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quillualpa's supporters rose to their feet, but José-Francisco Salvia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santo Salazar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Yaruquies's Paredes Durante got a free kick in the 32nd minute.
