If Rosero Cimas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Klimovich Rubiero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Tornamira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Chaco United getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Rafael Uriszar hit a great ball. When Guerrero Sotilla came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Chaco United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guerrero Sotilla couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafael Uriszar during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 16 played minutes Chaco United got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Uriszar. 18 minutes into the game, Bruno Carriedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chaco United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UD Cachimalero the free kick. Rosero Cimas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guerrero Sotilla got free with Victorio Riancho in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in UD Cachimalero's zone, Rosero Cimas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victorio Riancho came out of the goal and Rosero Cimas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guerrero Sotilla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Victorio Riancho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. UD Cachimalero's Victorio Riancho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save UD Cachimalero from getting a goal against them. Zayvius Gallinal charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zayvius Gallinal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 34th match minute, UD Cachimalero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zayvius Gallinal to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Picado in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Klimovich Rubiero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 40 minutes, Peter Tornamira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UD Cachimalero's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peter Tornamira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Klimovich Rubiero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Picado in the 43rd minute of the match. Guerrero Sotilla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Victorio Riancho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guerrero Sotilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victorio Riancho having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rosero Cimas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bruno Carriedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Victorio Riancho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Guerrero Sotilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The UD Cachimalero fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Klimovich Rubiero was a little too slow when Cristian Picado got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 0-2. Guerrero Sotilla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Victorio Riancho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Chaco United lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
