Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) UD Cumanda's De-la-Cruz Bien started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. De-la-Cruz Bien kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. After 8 played minutes Paquimaro got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Sampedro. The UD Cumanda fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when UD Cumanda's Aurelio Oñez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling De-la-Cruz Bien in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfredo Arieta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 16 minutes into the game, UD Cumanda's Aurelio Oñez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfredo Arieta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The audience was convinced that De-la-Cruz Bien's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfredo Arieta was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. In the 19th match minute, Paquimaro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernando Brugos to maneuver through the defense. Luis Borizar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Xepe Palomarez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute, one of UD Cumanda:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for UD Cumanda. Xepe Palomarez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovando Callejo having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Paquimaro's zone, De-la-Cruz Bien stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Arieta came out of the goal and De-la-Cruz Bien tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aurelio Oñez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Alfredo Arieta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luis Borizar to make the kick off. Freddy Sampedro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 55 played minutes UD Cumanda got a freekick which was hit by Nicolás Galve. Xepe Palomarez struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Ovando Callejo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paquimaro. Xepe Palomarez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovando Callejo having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Victoriano Sotuela during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Paquimaro booed when UD Cumanda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victoriano Sotuela didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute, Luis Borizar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 65 minutes, Xove Torroba mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UD Cumanda and the Paquimaro players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to UD Cumanda getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Xove Torroba hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 72 minutes, the score became 0-3 when De-la-Cruz Bien sped through Paquimaro's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alfredo Arieta. Luis Borizar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 83rd minute Xepe Palomarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovando Callejo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute, Xove Torroba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute De-la-Cruz Bien shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Arieta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luis Borizar in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ovando Callejo saved UD Cumanda from getting behind. When De-la-Cruz Bien came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the UD Cumanda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that De-la-Cruz Bien couldn't finish the play. UD Cumanda's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
