Elena FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rolando Castelo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mario Vegas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rolando Castelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Vegas having to interfere. Joaquin Basabe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Estevez Lira in the 11th minute of the match. The referee ignored Javilla's protests and gave Gómez Pedraja a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Elena FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Urrutia Recemill hit a great ball. When Rolando Castelo came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Elena FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rolando Castelo couldn't finish the play. If Estevez Lira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
