An unexpectedly hard shot by Pinto Betances in the 16th minute of play forced Quillalli's goalkeeper Zadornin Fitado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Quillalli's goal looked a bit too open when Pinto Betances came free, but Zadornin Fitado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mina Anduaga in the 19th minute of play forced Quillalli's goalkeeper Zadornin Fitado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pinto Betances stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Pinto Betances had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 56 played minutes Quillalli got a freekick which was hit by Rolando Magdaleno. After having played for 58 minutes, Pinto Betances managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Shiramentza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pinto Betances was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 60th minute, Pinto Betances got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 61st minute, Rolando Magdaleno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pinto Betances struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Zadornin Fitado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Shiramentza. Zadornin Fitado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mina Anduaga in the 69th minute. Zadornin Fitado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pinto Betances in the 71st minute of play. Pinto Betances's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zadornin Fitado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. The supporters of CD Shiramentza booed when Quillalli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolando Magdaleno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jose Egea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zadornin Fitado having to interfere. If Mina Anduaga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the final whistle sounded CD Shiramentza left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Quillalli.
