Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Xan Melgarejo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Asencio Veraza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Cajigal having to interfere. Empalme's defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Xan Melgarejo scored to the left of an out of position Jimmy Soto, making the score, 1-0. Santiago Gama fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Cajigal having to interfere. In the 14th minute Xan Melgarejo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmy Soto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Suscal Batalle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Suscal Batalle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xan Melgarejo in the 25th minute of play forced Empalme's goalkeeper Jimmy Soto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Urtsua Setien charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Urtsua Setien the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Urtsua Setien kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Humberto Cajigal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santiago Gama, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute, Zoilo Beite hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 33 played minutes UD Unagua got a freekick which was hit by Xan Melgarejo. Xan Melgarejo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Xan Melgarejo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 38th minute. UD Unagua's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Xan Melgarejo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmy Soto having to interfere. After 41 played minutes Empalme got a freekick which was hit by Vernaza Curueño. Xan Melgarejo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmy Soto having to interfere. Empalme's Asencio Veraza got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Suscal Batalle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmy Soto having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Asencio Veraza made a kick off. Ramirez Durango's late challenge caught a Empalme's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ramirez Durango helped the player get up and apologised. Humberto Cajigal made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Asencio Veraza sent off a good shot on target. If Xan Melgarejo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xan Melgarejo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmy Soto having to interfere. Jimmy Soto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Suscal Batalle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind UD Unagua's goalkeeper Humberto Cajigal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Santiago Gama had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Empalme getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Roman Natal hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, UD Unagua's Rubén Tovilleja tried to score from far away in the 73rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 74th match minute, Empalme was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roman Natal to maneuver through the defense. Jimmy Soto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xan Melgarejo in the 79th minute of the match. Xan Melgarejo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Jimmy Soto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85thth minute of the game Xan Melgarejo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Empalme's Jimmy Soto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 87 minutes of play, UD Unagua's Xan Melgarejo made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jimmy Soto was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Suscal Batalle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xan Melgarejo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmy Soto having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Suscal Batalle in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jimmy Soto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 98th minute, Santiago Gama left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Empalme fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. When the referee ended the match the UD Unagua players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
