With his leg Xavieon Padro managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Esmeraldas Petrolero's Hurtado Serna fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 27 minutes, Zoil Andaltia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balvaneda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zoil Andaltia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 30thth minute of the game Zoil Andaltia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Esmeraldas Petrolero's Jairo Roson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Esmeraldas Petrolero's goal looked a bit too open when Roque Maruca came free, but Jairo Roson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Hugo Vinambres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Balvaneda's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Vinambres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jairo Roson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hurtado Serna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Xavieon Padro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xurxo Gandia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
