Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Carnero Herruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salvador Olloque, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute, Salvador Olloque got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 15th match minute, UD Guayquichuma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro Hoa to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Henning Eliasson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving González Gavito. That made the score 2-0 in the 18 minute of play. UD Guayquichuma's González Gavito proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save UD Guayquichuma from getting a goal against them. Carnero Herruz came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by UD Guayquichuma's Humberto Urioste. But to his dismay, Humberto Urioste quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 28 minutes into the match, Renacimiento FC's goal looked a bit too open when Salvador Olloque came free, but Carnero Herruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Renacimiento FC's Rene Lozano got a free kick in the 30th minute. When Henning Eliasson came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Renacimiento FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henning Eliasson couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in UD Guayquichuma's zone, Veto Guinea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. González Gavito came out of the goal and Veto Guinea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Henning Eliasson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Veto Guinea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rene Lozano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. González Gavito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Veto Guinea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but González Gavito was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Salvador Olloque's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, Carnero Herruz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of UD Guayquichuma booed when Renacimiento FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos-Armando Ladra didn't get a good kick on the ball. González Gavito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Veto Guinea, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Renacimiento FC's Veto Guinea got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Diego Terres's late challenge caught a UD Guayquichuma's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diego Terres helped the player get up and apologised. Diego Terres hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Veto Guinea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without González Gavito having to interfere. 83 minutes into the game, Salvador Olloque cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Carnero Herruz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 86th minute, Victoro Arindez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The attack was good, but when Veto Guinea in the 89th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Henning Eliasson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Veto Guinea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but González Gavito was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. 94 minutes into the match, UD Guayquichuma's goal looked a bit too open when Henning Eliasson came free, but González Gavito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Renacimiento FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
