Marin Balmori fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bohórquez Corvera having to interfere. Jaramillo Celama showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erwin Diez in the 9th minute of the match. If Marin Balmori had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bohórquez Corvera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jama Ratra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erwin Diez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. García Sopena kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. The supporters of Jovita booed when P. TEXACO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marin Balmori didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the match, P. TEXACO FC's Marin Balmori sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bohórquez Corvera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 34 minutes into the game, José-Francisco Pavolleta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jovita's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave P. TEXACO FC the free kick. The supporters of P. TEXACO FC booed when Jovita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. José-Francisco Pavolleta didn't get a good kick on the ball. García Sopena charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed García Sopena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. García Sopena kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After 45 minutes Jovita's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Perlaza Sedeño who took care of the corner kick. The corner led P. TEXACO FC's Perlaza Sedeño to fire away a dangerous shot which Bohórquez Corvera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erwin Diez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 78th minute, Erwin Diez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jovita fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 81 minutes into the match, P. TEXACO FC's goal looked a bit too open when José-Francisco Pavolleta came free, but Jaramillo Celama reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bohórquez Corvera was a little too slow when Marin Balmori got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 1-1. Jovita's Bohórquez Corvera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jama Ratra in the 89th minute of play. José-Francisco Pavolleta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 96 minutes into the match, Jovita's José-Francisco Pavolleta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jaramillo Celama narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The P. TEXACO FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Jovita from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
