Genaro Fole might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paúl Iruretagoyena. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Genaro Fole ran back to his position shaking his head. After 10 played minutes, Barrancas SC's Ugaitz Godos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Paúl Iruretagoyena came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Barrancas SC reached it. De-Jesús Mardones made an important save on a dangerous shot by De-la-Cruz Ganchegui in the 11th minute. Club Monte Sinahi's Paúl Iruretagoyena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xabel Sarabia in the 13th minute of play. Paúl Iruretagoyena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genaro Fole in the 15th minute of play. In the 18th minute Xabel Sarabia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paúl Iruretagoyena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 20 minutes into the game, when Coronel Espinareda put in a rough tackle. 19 minutes into the game, one of Club Monte Sinahi:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 22nd minute there was a penalty for Barrancas SC. Ugaitz Godos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Paúl Iruretagoyena. 0-1. After a rather tough play, Club Monte Sinahi's Ovidio Valbas got a free kick in the 27th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of Barrancas SC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Club Monte Sinahi:s goal. In the 35th minute, Ricardo Lin sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Club Monte Sinahi's Paúl Iruretagoyena didn't even have to move. Genaro Fole sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Xabel Sarabia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 53rd minute, Genaro Fole left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barrancas SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 66th match minute, Club Monte Sinahi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ovidio Valbas to maneuver through the defense. Paúl Iruretagoyena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Genaro Fole's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Genaro Fole was extremely unlucky when he, in the 88th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Xabel Sarabia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paúl Iruretagoyena was a little too slow when Genaro Fole got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 90th minute. The score was now 1-3. Barrancas SC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
