The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Utuana SC booed when IFK 1899 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolando Carbasa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sanchez Moriz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raúl Bolonga having to interfere. In the 7th minute Sanchez Moriz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raúl Bolonga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. IFK 1899's Raúl Bolonga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sanchez Moriz in the 12th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Arberas got free with Raúl Bolonga in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Utuana SC's Baldeón Candana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Moniz in the 16th minute of play. Baldeón Candana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javier Moniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Utuana SC's zone, Almandoz Moya stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baldeón Candana came out of the goal and Almandoz Moya tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd of the match, Sanchez Moriz tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Raúl Bolonga got in the way and made a wonderful save. Utuana SC's Baldeón Candana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Almandoz Moya in the 32nd minute of play. A collision led to IFK 1899 getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Freddy Valle hit a great ball. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 38th minute, when Utuana SC's Franklin Santiyan after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Raúl Bolonga in IFK 1899's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. If Javier Moniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd match minute, Utuana SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Checa Padolles to maneuver through the defense. Almandoz Moya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldeón Candana having to interfere. Almandoz Moya might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Baldeón Candana. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Almandoz Moya ran back to his position shaking his head. Checa Padolles kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Sanchez Moriz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Raúl Bolonga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baldeón Candana came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by IFK 1899's Almandoz Moya. But to his dismay, Almandoz Moya quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Almandoz Moya kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Javier Moniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Baldeón Candana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Almandoz Moya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. IFK 1899's Raúl Bolonga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Arberas in the 83rd minute of play. 86 minutes into the game, Jaime Paza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. IFK 1899's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Utuana SC the free kick. After 85 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for IFK 1899! Franklin Santiyan shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. If Sebastian Arberas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastian Arberas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 98 minutes into the match, IFK 1899's goal looked a bit too open when Sanchez Moriz came free, but Raúl Bolonga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The IFK 1899 players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
